We’re proud to back the people who show up for Kyabram, the real doers, the ones who see a need and look at building something better for our community.
That’s why we’re delighted that Renee Pichler has been awarded the first Kyabram Community Scholarship for the 2026 Fairley Leadership Program.
“I am thrilled to be the recipient of the first Kyabram Community Scholarship for the 2026 Fairley Leadership program. I am excited to be associated with Community Bank Kyabram which has a strong presence in our community as a bank that gives back and is community focused!”, she said.
A local who leans into community
Renee moved to Kyabram with her husband and children in January 2019, drawn to country life and the chance to be closer to grandparents. Together with her husband she grows and preserves much of her family’s food on their three-acre property on the edge of town.
But it wasn’t long before Kyabram pulled her into community life.
“As a local I have seen the impact the Community Bank has made in Kyabram in its support of clubs and community projects,” she said.
Renee is in her second term as Secretary of KDC, serves on the Scouts committee, is a member and regular guest speaker at the Kyabram Garden Club, contributed to the Seed Library, and launched Blooming in the Dry, supporting rural farming women and raising awareness of mental health. She also home schools her children.

Why the Fairley Leadership Program
“This year is about connecting with like-minded people who are passionate about leading in their community,” she said.“I wanted to join the Fairley Leadership Program to strengthen my skills to become a strong leader and advocate for the Kyabram community.”
The Fairley Leadership Program is specifically designed to develop and maximize an individual’s capacity for community leadership. It’s a unique and immersive program that enables participants to realise their potential and demonstrate leadership in action.
“Thank you, Community Bank and Warramunda. Your contribution to the Kyabram Community Scholarship by investing into the Scholarship is also investing into the leaders of the future,” she said.
Renee will be sharing her experience with us as the year progresses.
