Community Bank Kyabram has proudly supported the Kyabram Garden Club as it prepares to host the Annual Forum of the North West Region of Garden Clubs, aligned to the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria.

This is the first time the event will be held in Kyabram, making it a landmark opportunity for the region. The forum will attract participants from across Victoria and Southern NSW, bringing a significant boost to the local economy while promoting wellbeing, participation and community pride.

Timed to coincide with Mental Health Week, the event highlights the positive role gardening plays in combating loneliness and supporting mental health. The program includes a keynote presentation from local garden designer Louise Costa, who has contributed to iconic projects such as the Shepparton Botanical Gardens and Winton Wetlands.

Community Engagement Lead Nattalie Joinbee (pictured middle) met with Garden Club President Steve Graham and Secretary Marg Mason to hand over Community Bank Kyabram’s support.

“This is a wonderful example of community banking in action,” Nattalie said. “It’s about backing local groups to deliver events that not only benefit their members, the Garden Club in this instance, but also bring wide-reaching visitation to the area.” If your community group or organisation is looking for project support, reach out to Community Engagment Lead Nattalie Joinbee via email engagement@kyabramcommunity.au
